Helping A Friend

Today I played Therapy Dog to another dog, my friend Emily. She got a sore on her paw and her mom, Aunt Gina, took her to the fur doctor yesterday to look at it. They said there is a foxtail inside and it got infected. She gets very nervous at the fur doctor office, like me. They tried to give her anti-nervous medicine, but after several hours, she was still too nervous, so Aunt Gina took her home. Today the fur-doctor was going to give her a stronger anti-nervous medicine to make her sleep. Since Aunt Gina was now nervous too, mom and I decided to go along, and help keep everyone calm.

 When we got there, mom and I walked around with Emily, so she could sniff and walk off some of her nervousness. 

  Even with me by her side, Emily started to worry about where her mom went. 

We went into the cool builiding to wait with Emily and her mom. Emily was doing pretty good, since I was there with her.

 She kept asking me "Why are we here? What is going on?" I told her to just be calm and everything would be ok. 

But she said "Pbbssssppp! I don't believe you!"

We found out there was another furry ahead up, having an emergency C-Section. Even though I don't know what that is... I got the feeling it was going to be a loooonnngg wait. So I settled down and relaxed.

How long do those things take?

After an hour and a half, Em was still being calm with me. Both mom's were very proud of me for helping and of her for staying calm. 

Finally it was Emily's turn. Aunt Gina took her to the back, and they gave her the medicine and said she would be asleep for awhile. Now all we have to do is wait. 

While we were there... Mom checked. Yep, I have finally gained 12 pounds!!!

Day of Spoiling

The day started out like any other ordinary day.  But I sensed something different in Mom's walk. She had a skip in her step. And kept saying... "Today is so beautiful!" Then out came the flashy...

"Um..." Mom said "Not quite what I was looking for" 

"Still not getting it"

"Quit playing and get serious!"

"That's it!" SNAP

 Then I started understanding. So I got into the "Model" mode.

Am I getting it mom?

 Mom wants everyone to see how beautiful the sky, trees and mountains were looking this day. This is what put the skip into her step.

Then I started to goof off, and mom said I earned it.

Back to work!

 Im not sure what this creature was trying to say to me, but it sure was weird looking.

Quit whispering in my ear, can't you see I am working?

After all that hard work, Mom let me loose and I got to run and sniff all over. Mom was in such a good mood. I love when she laughs and smiles.

Then it seemed like we were back to an ordinary day again. She was in the little room, doing her morning routine (AKA- making her face pretty), and I was out there giving her the sad face.

Mom, can't I come with you?

 Guess what... she said YES! Off to her "sometime" job of folding clothes. While we were there, the little boy that lives there came home. We played while mom worked.

 I tried to get mom to join us, but as you can see, she had a LOT of work to do.

But she did make some time to play with me, since she said I was being such a good boy.

From there I went with her on an errand. I helped her shop.

Then she let me sniff through the furrie store PetCo.

She told me the BEST was soon to come. We pulled up to a really yummy smelling place. She left me in the car, which confused me, cause I thought it was MY day. But she quickly came back and opened the back door with a big smile...

Mom, what is that in your hand? For me???

Yummm yummm...

I was very gentle to not break the cone. I licked it clean. Then mom had to lay it between my legs before I would eat the cone. 

Mom doesnt normally let me hang my head out the window. She said it is unsafe and something could hit me or get in my eye. But since it was a short ride home, she drove slowly and let me enjoy all the smells and sights. We drove right through the same place where our morning started.

After such an exciting, fun and yummy day, I was tuckered. Mom had to get one last flash.

Hmmm, Do I Look Like Any of These?

Mom just heard about this artist. She fell in love with the figurines that she makes. She has her heart set now to get some made of all of us fur babies. What do you think? Does this look like me?

Sunny Saturday

It is a sunny beautiful day this Saturday. But instead of going for walkies... this is what has transpired...

First... Mom is in charge of making sure these little girls are being fed on time. Since they are not friendly with other furries, she sleeps at their house during the dark hours, then comes back home to me. So today, while we are busy, this is what they are doing...

Mom just ran across a picture of this doggy contraption on Facebook. She said that would have helped so much with my late siblings, when their back legs started to go out. She still is wavering on how much and how long to go, to keep them around. But it at least warmed her heart to see there are options, if the funds a health are available.

Taking Sister-Kitty to the Doktor

I always thought mom was taking me to the Dog-Tor, but yesterday I found it, it is the DOCTOR. They make doggies better, but kitties too. Cinder kitty has been shaking her head a lot. And mom was hearing rattling going on. I told her it was just her silly kitty-brain, but mom wanted to get it checked.

Since mom wants me to know that going to the fur doctor is not always a bad thing, she let me come along to show sister-kitty how it goes. 

First, I told her it was safe to come out of her castle. She came out a little hesitantly, but quickly started to explore. 

 She even did well, when the doctor did that thing with her bum (I just won't let them near mine). But after they checked her pearly whites, she got a little hissy. Fortunately for everyone, Cinder forgives quickly and went back to exploring.

 I just layed nicely by mom and kept her leg warm. Then made sure Cinder didn't try to make a run for it, like I would do.

 The doctor said she did have something in her ears and that they would need to be cleaned. I was so glad it wasn't me. I don't like my ears played with. But Cinder went away with the doctor very nicely.

 And I took the opportunity to get more love from mom. Hmmm, this place isn't so bad after all!

 Cinder was still purring when they brought her back to mom and then we were on the way home.

A very uneventful trip to the doctor.

While we were waiting, mom weighed me again. When I first came to live with them, I was at 116. A couple weeks later, I got to 120, but ever since I have stayed at 116. Mom says I look a lot better, no ribs or spine showing. I look healthy, so she was hoping I had gained some weight finally. But nope, yesterday I weighed 115.8. Mom said UGH! But I am eating and playing, so she says it is still probably puppy weight.

Liv-a-Littles Treats Review

Oh my dogness... it has been way to long since Mom has posted on here. For our non-facebook friends, please forgive us. Don't mistake lack of action on here, as lack of activity in my life. I have been a busy dog, along with mom. Dad was home a lot more than mom lately, so we didn't have as many pictures. He is not good with his flashy. In fact, any picture he takes, ends up being blurry with red eyes. And that will not do for my beautiful Blues!

First, we need to take a commercial break. Chewy.com has been kind enough to offer me snacks to try. This time mom selected:

Since I am allergic to gluten foods, Mom was very excited to try out something that was 100% real. Plus, Cinderella would have a special treat for her tricks (that will be coming soon). 

The box had my name on it, but mom decided it was time to give Cinderella a chance to open a box on her own. I was sent outside, to watch through the see-through doors. Cinder wasn't as interested as Mom thought she would be.

 She gave the snack a small sniff...

 Then became more interested in the paper that came in the box. 

And even worse, being the silly kitty she is, she completely snubbed the food, to play with the tear-off strap of the lid, while I had to watch from outside, drooling.

Finally mom let me in. I was moving so fast, she could not get any good pictures, until I finally laid down, and patiently waited for the snacks. I gobbled them up as fast as she would let me. In fact, she could only get pictures of the crumbs, until I discovered them and licked them all gone.

Mom really likes these treats cause they are not messy. That means she can put a few in her pocket to work on commands with me on walks, and not worry about a greasy mess on her clothes or hands. Although our kitty did not seem interested, that is just one cat's opinion. The chunks feel like air, and are easy to break up to make into smaller rewards, but plenty big for us big doggies too. 

So our overall review is that these are great reward treats, take along snacks and a delicious in between snack. This is what Chewy.com says about it...
