Another Yummy Review

Look what came in the mail for me? Another delicious treat to try from Chewy.com

 I helped mom open it.

Oh yum! Mom say's I get these for my special doggy classes.

So we started into practice right away. See how focused I get on this treat?

I obey immediately!

I will even pray for these treats- please, oh, please

Mom tried the command I haven't quite got down yet. On the second try I did very well. Anything mom, just give me the treat!

Even dad starting taking them with us on the walks, to work on my commands. He says they smell so good, he is tempted to try one himself. This is the fastest my treats disappeared, so I am wondering if he really did try some.

Mom's review: These were excellent treats to use for Monte's obedience sessions. Since I give him small portions, they were easy to break up, not messy to hold in my hand during the walk, and the smell got his attention right away. Also, the fact that Monte is allergic to gluten, these were perfect using real meat, sweet potato and apple. They smell like bacon, which was a bit tempting to dear hubby. Thumbs up to Nature's Recipe.

Liv-a-Littles Treats Review

Oh my dogness... it has been way to long since Mom has posted on here. For our non-facebook friends, please forgive us. Don't mistake lack of action on here, as lack of activity in my life. I have been a busy dog, along with mom. Dad was home a lot more than mom lately, so we didn't have as many pictures. He is not good with his flashy. In fact, any picture he takes, ends up being blurry with red eyes. And that will not do for my beautiful Blues!

First, we need to take a commercial break. Chewy.com has been kind enough to offer me snacks to try. This time mom selected:

Halo Liv-a-Littles Grain-Free 100% Chicken Breast Freeze-Dried Dog & Cat Treats

Since I am allergic to gluten foods, Mom was very excited to try out something that was 100% real. Plus, Cinderella would have a special treat for her tricks (that will be coming soon).

The box had my name on it, but mom decided it was time to give Cinderella a chance to open a box on her own. I was sent outside, to watch through the see-through doors. Cinder wasn't as interested as Mom thought she would be.
She gave the snack a small sniff...
Then became more interested in the paper that came in the box.
And even worse, being the silly kitty she is, she completely snubbed the food, to play with the tear-off strap of the lid, while I had to watch from outside, drooling.

Finally mom let me in. I was moving so fast, she could not get any good pictures, until I finally laid down, and patiently waited for the snacks. I gobbled them up as fast as she would let me. In fact, she could only get pictures of the crumbs, until I discovered them and licked them all gone.

Mom really likes these treats cause they are not messy. That means she can put a few in her pocket to work on commands with me on walks, and not worry about a greasy mess on her clothes or hands. Although our kitty did not seem interested, that is just one cat's opinion. The chunks feel like air, and are easy to break up to make into smaller rewards, but plenty big for us big doggies too.
So our overall review is that these are great reward treats, take along snacks and a delicious in between snack. This is what Chewy.com says about it...

The Yummiest Treats!

I got a box this week. A box for ME!

It even had my name on the address. All for me? From Chewy.com.

Daddy helped me open it.
(**disclaimer** Just before we opened the box, I was reprimanded for paying too much attention to Cinderella sister, so I was being a bit pouty and not participating as I usually would)

It looked interesting, but I had to smell it first.

Of course, the obligatory pose... "My name is Monte Cristo and I love Chewy.com treats" blah, blah, blah...just let me have one already will you?

They look like dad's favorite little sweet squares (called chalk o light)

Now mom said she has to admit, her and dad are NOT healthy eaters. She loves starch, fat and salt and dad says the sweeter the better. But since I have sensitive skin, Mom is being more selective about my diet. Since putting me on Gluten-Free, I have stopped the crazy itching and my red tummy went away. So she is always on the look out for safe treats for me. These Wellness WellBites fit the bill with all natural ingredients and thinks they are perfect Kong treats.

The perfect meaty snack for your pooch! Wellness WellBites Lamb and Salmon Recipe Treats are soft, chewy bites worth begging for. They're made using only natural ingredients like lamb, salmon, sweet potatoes, apples and flaxseed; just as nutritious as delicious! Different types of protein maximize nutrient absorption, and whole grains give needed energy for a fun day of Frisbee. Whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks never tried holding out a chewy WellBite!

Thank you Chewy.com for letting us sample these yummy treats. I will make sure Mom shares the treasures with me and OFTEN!

Mr Chewy is Yummy!

Shortly after I arrived at my forever home, the man that comes to our porch everyday left something in the box for ME! Yes siree, I knew right away it was a box for THE COUNT from someone called Mr Chewy.
I have never received my own box, so I wasn't sure what to do. Since it was in dad's hands, I was trying to be obedient and not take it from him, so he had to open it for me.
I cant read, but it looked like something that was going to be a treat for me, as both mom and dad got excited.
Mom let me try a few at first, then put away. Right after that, Gramma sent me a bunch of treats as a Welcome to My New home. So mom was giving me those. But since I have been starting to show some of my naughty side, Mom says it is time to pull out the Big Guns to start reminding me of rules and boundaries.

After sneaking a french fry off her plate once, and then later taking a piece of bread, she says our first rule is "Leave It!" She looked up how to teach a deaf doggie and has been practicing with me. I really like these treats cause they smell so good. Mom says she likes them, because they are all natural and grain-free, which mom hopes will help with my skin itchies (more about that on another post).

See how fast I am learning? Mom got this idea from Tucker. I was very interested in this treat on my paw, but mom gave the sign to leave it, so I waited patiently. I haven't learned the "OK" sign yet, so mom has to take it off my paw and hand to me.
I can even leave the whole bag alone with all that goodness so close to my nose.

Mom tried it from different spots and I was still just as patient waiting for it.
By the way, did you note those sweet eyes I gave her? She usually melts with those, but didn't work as quickly this time. She keeps doing something funny with her paws, then gives it to me. I wonder if that means something?

Then mom got a little crazy. She confused me and I did not know what she wanted. Kept putting it near my nose, and it smelled so good, I wanted it, but she kept pulling away. Then she put it on top of my head. What the heck?

Note from Mom: We have ordered and tried Mr Chewy often and love how quick their shipping is and the goodness of their foods. The customer service and communication is above a normal online site, and quite impressive. After being offered the treats to review on our post, I was excited to discover it was grain-free as we did not realize at the time, that Monte has sensitive skin and the vet recommends gluten-free foods for him. As we finish up the original snacks we received, he will be switching to treats like this one.
