Social Week

This has been a busy week for me and mom.

My aunt Gina and Uncle Mike went out of town, and mom thought it would be fun for me to have my girlfriend, Ashley, come play with me for a few days. At first she was a bit shy, but we got some bitey face in.
Ashley is very sweet.
Rare photo of Ashely. She usually hides when camera comes out.
Then mom went away one night to watch another friend's dog. This is Sophie, a Silver-Dappled Doxie. Mom just loves saying that over and over. Sophie came by to meet me one day, but she doesn't like visitors at her house, so mom stays there alone.

While Dad was taking home Ashley, Mom came by and picked me up to go with her on a ride-along with her new elderly client. I got to go in and make some new friends. This is Ron. He was very happy to meet me. He had just finished lunch and I was offering to help clean his face.

On the way home, we stopped to pick up my other girlfriend, Scout. My Aunt Diane was going camping, so Scout came to stay with us for the weekend. Scout is very high-energy. She liked all the bones I had laying around. Mom and dad came home and found one of my toys destuffed. I haven't done that for a long time, so they instantly knew it was the girl, Scout. HAH!

Scout did surgery on my toy stuff bone.

One of our rare calm moments.
Over the weekend, Mom left again to watch another friends little girls. Mom said it was a huge difference going from me to these ladies.
Shirley and Lily
Shirley and Lily get quite excited over everything. Especially food.

All this socializing really is wearing me out. Mom came home and had Scout go to a time out so I could rest.

This is one of those times I am so glad I cannot hear. If you listen closely, you can hear me a bit too, but not over Girl Scout.

Lazy Sunday-- Oh yeh!

Farewell to Honey the Great Dane

We are sad to share that we lost a very special doggie this past week! Honey was an inspiration to all of us.
She encouraged Mom in her relationships with all of us fur kids.
Honey's antics made Mom laugh and cry.
Honey will be missed so much.
You can read about Honey here...
And watch her videos (especially her dancing) here...
See you on the other side of Rainbow Bridge, Honey.

My Fur Sister - Cinderella

When I came to live with Mom and Dad, they were very concerned about me getting along with my kitty sister, Cinderella. So they started cautiously.
First I met her in her safe place. We were both quite curious with each other.

Then I wasn't allowed to pay too much attention to her, but had to sit still and let her get used to me.

After awhile, we were allowed to get closer to each other, as long as I stayed calm.

She was actually a pretty friendly, brave sissy kitty.

Mom and Dad were very impressed at how well we behaved around each other.

Now days it is a total non-issue. Don't get me wrong... sometimes we have our moments. She gives me her mean face, but I can't hear the noise she is making. And other times I get a little iritated and have to put her in her place. I get in a bit of trouble when that happens. Mom says no matter what she does, I am bigger and always have to leave her alone. Hmmmppphh, I don't like that, but we make up quickly.

Mom say's she learned a lot about how to introduce me to my sissy from our friend Honey and her sissy kitty, Muesli. She still can't watch this video without tearing up. It is so sweet.

When mom and dad got Cinderella, she was living in a big warehouse with a bunch of other really big doggies all around in crates. So she was used to the bigness and the loudness. Nothing phases my little sister. We both sit and watch the sucky-machine and dad has to make us move when he comes near us. The explosive things in the sky and the big waterbowl in the sky doesn't bother us either. We are a good pair for each other. Mom says it makes her heart pitter-patter even more when she gets to pet us both at the same time.

Happy New Year Everyone!

It all started so simply. Mom got a gift card to a local groomer. So she took me in to see what they do. They gave me a bath, "tried" to clip my nails and clean my ears (I was having none of that), then I got to play with a young man, chasing each other around the store. When mom came to pick me up, I was wearing a fancy Halloween bandanna. Mom thought it looked pretty good on me, so when I was at home, I got to take off the noisy black collar and just wear the fancy one.

So you may have noticed, I am always sporting a fancy collar for the season.
 Have you spotted them?

Mom just got my winter one for me. She said I modeled so well, I should be a Professional Collar Model. What do you think?

That was a lot of hard work, but I was well rewarded.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
